Update 5-21-12: GREEN BAY – The family of a man killed in 2009 has increased its reward in the case. McMillin’s family has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible from $10,000 to $25,000

GREEN BAY, WI -  Over Three-years ago (March 8, 2009) 19-year-old Doug McMillin was found dead in his home at 817 Longview Avenue in Allouez from gunshot wounds. Investigators soon learned that two men forced their way inside to steal cash and marijuana. A multi-jurisdictional task force investigation uncovered new information and persons of interest. But no murder suspects. Now, investigators are asking people to help out.

“There are people in the community that have direct knowledge of this incident, either being at the McMillin residence on the night of the homicide or knowledge of the murder after the fact,” said Brown County Sheriff’s Department Captain Dave Konrath.

So…a ten-thousand dollar reward is being offered for that information. And Doug McMillin’s mother hopes anyone who has any information on her son’s murder will see this as an opportunity to come clean, for their own sake

“You know something about the weapon, about the people involved, anything that you’ve heard, please step forward. Please do the right thing. And do this for Doug and turn your life around,” said Paula Schultz in a statement during a news conference at the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

Those sentiments were echoed by McMillan’s friend, Adam Zeitler.

“He’d (Doug) give you the shirt off his back for you. I don’t know how he got involved in all the drugs and all that,” Zeitler said.

Two suspects were initially reported running from the scene to an unknown model car. They were initially described as black men, both around five-feet ten-inches tall, and may have been wearing disguises.
