Omar Mora is the main suspect in the shooting deaths of his wife, Lisa Heather Mora and gas station manager Harpel Singh on May 23, 2007.
Harpel, 38 and Lisa, 32 were both shot in Warsaw, Ind. within minutes of each other. Harpel was shot while he was at work at the Phillips 66 Service Station.
While police were responding to the first shooting, a call came in about a second shooting at a home just a few miles from the gas station. Police soon discovered that the same car, a black 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck with Indiana plate 5181T was seen fleeing from both shootings.
Cops in Chicago recovered that truck in late July, 2007 but Mora was nowhere to be found.
Police are investigating what prompted the shootings, and are looking into whether Harpel and Lisa were romantically involved. The Moras have two young sons, ages 7 and 2, and were married at the time of the murders.
Mora is an American citizen, originally from Mexico. Authorities are afraid Mora might be trying to leave the country and return to Mexico. Mora has had managerial jobs, and speaks English fluently. Family members say that he is a very hard worker and always pushes himself to do more. He has held jobs in the labor industry, and has been a foreman at construction sites.
There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Omar Mora.
If you see or know the whereabouts of any of these individuals, please contact the Winona Lake Police Department at (574) 267-8622
