SAN ANTONIO- It’s been three years since the murder of 52-year-old Michael Alonzo and still no arrests. The case of the local postal worker and father of six has gone cold.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and Alonzo’s wife Sandra are seeking the publics help with any information in the case.

Alonzo was shot and killed outside his north east Bexar County home back on July 17th, 2009. “There’s a huge part of me that died on July 17th too, ” replied Sandra Alonzo.

Michael Alonzo had just wrapped up a late night bowling tournament, it was just before midnight when he stepped out of his car and was gunned down in his driveway. “He had a burger in one hand and a soda in the other, he was coming home, ” added Alonzo.

Years later the brutal crime is still a murder mystery for investigators. “We’re re-evaluating all the evidence, working closely with the medical examiner’s office, but there’s just not a whole lot there for us so we’re hoping someone will come forward, ” said Louis Antu with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Sandra Alonzo said right now there is no closure, no justice, just a gaping wound. “I just hope that some day we can have that piece of closure, ” Alonzo went on to say.
