HOUSTON—Crime Stoppers and HPD Homicide investigators are asking for the public’s help solving the murder of an aspiring local rapper.

Dominique “Domino” Singletary, 20, was gunned down during an apparent robbery in the 300 block of Benmar on March 4, 2012, according to investigators.

Police said Singletary and his music producers had just left a local recording studio, where Singletary was working on a song for his grandfather, who had recently passed away.

After the meeting, Singletary went to a friend’s apartment. As he walked from his car to the apartment, police said he was confronted by an unknown number of suspects.

During the confrontation, someone opened fire, and Singletary suffered a single, fatal gunshot wound.

A cash reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in this case.
