The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is requesting the public’s assistance to generate new information about an unsolved Roane County homicide case. The victim’s family is also offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the murder.

Family members discovered the victim, Russel Charles Blevins, 85, shot multiple times in his home at 138 Hart Orchard Road in Kingston, Tenn. on Sunday, August 12. Investigators believe firearms are missing from Blevins’ home including an M-1 30 cal. Carbine Rifle similar to the photo below. The serial number to the weapon is unknown.
