David Grubbs

The reward in the David Grubbs murder case is getting a $10,000 increase.

The Ashland City Council approved the addition to the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction. This newest addition brings the total reward to $21,180.

David Grubbs was on his way home from work Nov. 19, 2011 just a few blocks away from the site of Ashland, Oregon’s world-renowned Shakespeare Festival, where actors in elaborate costumes often parry and thrust in faux swordfights. Read the rest of this entry »

KIMBALL - May 13th, 1976– Post Office Bombing

It was a quiet spring morning when an explosion disrupted the small town of Kimball, Minnesota on May 13th, 1976. The explosion came from the Kimball Post Office where assistant postmaster Ivend Holen was sorting the morning’s mail. Though the ambulance was fast to the scene, the 60-year-old father of 10 died on the way to the hospital.

Ray Covert from Eden Valley had dropped off 3 large sacks of mail in a bulk shipment from Minneapolis at the Kimball Post Office at 1 am. “I didn’t look inside (the three sacks) but they were goddamned heavy.” (St. Cloud Daily Times, 13 May 1976). Ivend Holen had begun sorting the mail for that day’s delivery when one of the packages exploded at 6:42 am. Glass was blown as far as 35 feet into the street. Read the rest of this entry »

DENVER – Police in Denver now say a girl who was kidnapped for a brief time on Thursday, June 2, 2011 was sexually assaulted.
The search for the suspect in the case continues, and the FBI has added new reward money in their effort to get a tip that leads to an arrest. The reward is now at $12,000.
The girl, an 8-year-old girl, was abducted from the area of 475 S. Raleigh at about 1:30 p.m. and located about 90 minutes later.
The girl walked into a Diamond Shamrock convenience store at 1945 Federal Blvd. at about 3 p.m. and told the employee she had been kidnapped. Read the rest of this entry »

Denver police announced today they have obtained an arrest warrant for a man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in Denver on Thursday, June 2, 2011.
Police said Bret Lee Luckett Thompson, 27, is accused of second-degree kidnapping and sexual assult on a child.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — The family of a man killed outside a Lakewood restaurant and bar is offering a $15,000 reward to anyone who has information that leads to the capture of the killer.

33-year-old Jose Beltran-Galindo was working at the El Torito restaurant the night of January 4, 2011 and had to escort a man out, who had been in a fight. Police believe the man shot and killed Beltran-Galindo. Read the rest of this entry »

ASPEN — The family of George Aldrich, the Snowmass Village resident who disappeared on the night of Nov. 27, 2010 has raised the reward for information leading to his discovery from $5,000 to $25,000.

In a statement released Sunday evening, the family said the possibility of some type of criminal act against Aldrich seemed likely. Family members cited the exhaustive 12-day search by area law enforcement and community volunteers along the Highway 82 corridor from Aspen to Carbondale that failed to turn up any evidence in the missing-person case. SAN ANTONIO — Nonnie Dotson disappeared Nov. 19, 2006.
Dotson, who was visiting her older brother in Jefferson County Colo., went out to supposedly to meet some friends.

It was about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 when Ritchie and his friend, 22-year-old Mike Hulbert, were on their way home after a night country dancing downtown with a group of friends.
