9-15-11 Update: A jury found Stanford Girswold, the man who threw the punch that led to Brian Euston’s death in Westport last year, not guilty on Wednesday. The Star reported that jurors returned their verdict around 3:45 p.m.
Griswold, 28, was facing a charge of involuntary manslaughter for punching Euston in the mouth outside of America’s Pub last October. Euston died on October 12.
Griswold’s defense attorney argued that her client punched Euston in self-defense and never thought that his punch would kill Euston.
KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Rockhurst High School graduate Brian Euston, 24, had been out with friends in Westport and he left a bar alone in the early hours of October 10, 2010. He was last seen getting into a cab to go home.
