Troy Dean Carney was found murdered in his sleeping bag on Sept.4, 2008 Central Point Oregon.Troy traveled from the East coast to the West coast working as a lumper loading & unloading Tractor Trailors. He had stopped in the Medford, Central Point Oregon area & while waiting to get more work on another truck he was was doing odd Jobs for the truckers at the Pilot Truck stop & was camped out on the Bear Creek Greenway near the Pilot Truck stop in Central Point. He was camped out seven day’s. He had called his family on Sept.1,2008. That evening on Labor day between midnight & 4am Sept 2, 2008 Troy was shot while he slept in his sleeping bag. He had not been in a fight & not robbed. His campsite was not distrubed. No signs of a struggle.
