HEATH, Ohio – Police are hoping now that community members would come forward and share information about a cold case.

Heath police said that they hoped a $6,000 reward would entice people to come forward and share information about the death of Priscilla “Dondi” Hickman, who was found strangled in her home in 2009.

Police Chief Tony Shepherd said that investigators have enough evidence linking the slaying to a person of interest but not evidence for a conviction.

Police were looking for a 6 foot 4 to 6 foot 6 inch tall white male between 40 and 60 years old with short buzzed hair. Investigators said that the man also had several tattoos, including a woodpecker with a cigar on his chest, a skeleton on his arm and a spider web on his elbow. A sketch of the suspect is below.

“I’m hoping this additional reward will cause people in that suspect’s inner circle to come forward,” Shepherd said.

Shepherd asked Heath City Council members recently to approve $5,000 from the department’s Law Enforcement Fund to go toward a $1,000 reward already offered through Licking County Crime Stoppers.

Council unanimously approved the request.

“I hope this is what brings them forward,” Shepherd said.

The Law Enforcement Fund is comprised of money collected from court fees
Shepherd said that the department was still looking for others possibly involved in Hickman’s slaying.
