NEWARK — Essex County authorities have posted a reward of up to $5,000 in cash for information that leads to an arrest in connection with the killing of an Ironbound bar owner on Saturday, February 12, 2011, Sheriff Armando Fontoura announced.
Eduardo Torres, 66, the owner of the Happy Hour Café on Warwick Street, was beaten and robbed outside his tavern around 10 p.m. on Friday. He was taken to University Hospital, where he died Saturday.
He also owned Suissa Bakery on Pacific St., Newark for the past 33 years.
