Friends and family of missing Anchorage woman Valerie Sifsof are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to her safe return or the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for her disappearance. Crime Stoppers is offering an additional cash reward of $1,000 for a tip or tips that lead to the arrest of a felony crime suspect.

“The reward is for the safe recovery of Valerie Sifsof and or information leading to an arrest or indictment of the persons who are responsible for her disappearance,” said Susan Sullivan, executive director of Victims for Justice.

It has been more than two weeks since 43-year-old Valerie Sifsof went missing.

A pair of boots is the last gift Sifsof gave to her father, Victor.

Every day, they remind him of his daughter.

“[She] was outgoing, always concerned about other person, we were very close,” said her father, Victor Sifsof.

Valerie was last seen more than two weeks ago — shortly before midnight on July 7, 2012

Alaska State Troopers say her boyfriend, 32-year-old Eliot Freeburg, was the last person to see her before she disappeared from the Granite Creek Campground.

They had argued, her father said. She was angry, and walked away, that’s the last time anyone saw her.

Troopers say he reported her missing three days later. Her family has been searching for her, ever since.

“We’re shifting to the road system, going to go all the way down to Granite Creek down to Seward, Homer, and up to Fairbanks,” he said.

After five days, troopers called off their search, and are now treating it as an open missing person’s case.

Although investigators believe there is no evidence of abduction, her family says something doesn’t feel right

“If she could call, she would call… call family members, call boyfriend, the fact that she hasn’t leads me to believe she can’t one way or another,” he said.

Her father hopes her good luck boots will help bring her home.
