MISSING PLEASE HELP: REWARD $2,500
Marble “Ace” Arvidson has been missing from the Brattelboro, VT area since Saturday, August 27, 2011.
A REWARD of $2,500 is being posted by FindMarble.org for any information leading us to Marble.
All that is known for certain is that Marble Arvidson was at his home on the afternoon of Aug. 27, 2011. It was the day before Tropical Storm Irene swept through the area.
His disappearance has gripped the small town of approximately 12,000 residents ever since.
One of the four members of the household saw Marble in the afternoon. Another heard someone knock at the door and Marble conversing with a man whose voice was not recognized.
Marble left a note saying he was going out and would be back in about 20 minutes. He marked it with the time — 2:17 p.m.
He never returned.
Marble’s family believes he left dressed in black and a favorite black bowler hat. They assume he left wearing boots.
“This kid didn’t drop off the face of the planet,” said Pat Cataodo, a friend of Marble. “Someone knows what happened. Someone knows what happened Saturday afternoon at 2:15 when he left the house. He was with somebody.”
“For a 17-year-old he is really highly evolved,” Cataodo said. “He never wanted to do anything in life except love and be loved.”
Marble did not live with his parents.
His mother is helping in the search. “Marble, if you are listening to this, please know that you are missed. I love you very, very much,” Sigie Arvidson said.
Police are treating the disappearance as a missing persons case. And they say they have no evidence which supports foul play. Marble is an avid hiker and some feel he may have gotten lost outside during Irene.
Marble Arvidson is 17 years old, 6’2″ tall, 165 lbs, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. He may go by the nickname Marb.
