Police say missing person Courtney Nathan Jones-Botta is at risk due to unusual circumstances. Sandra Dietrich contacted Redding (CA) Police Department to report her adult son, Jones-Botta, as missing on Aug. 25, 2012.  She says she is very concerned because it is out of character for her son to not check in.  Dietrich is hoping someone comes forward soon with information leading to Courtney’s disappearance.

She said the last time she spoke with her son was on Aug. 16, when he called her to ask for a ride from a residence on Joaquin Avenue. But when Dietrich arrived at the residence around 20 minutes later, she said could not locate Jones-Botta.

On Aug. 30, a customer at the USA gas station on East Cypress Ave. said she saw a missing person flier for Jones-Botta and recognized him from the previous day. According to the female customer, Jones-Botta was “hanging out” with subjects underneath the Cypress St. Bridge.

The customer told the USA gas cashier about seeing Jones-Botta and the cashier contacted the Redding Police Department with the information. Officers later checked the area and did not locate Jones-Botta.

Courtney Jones-Botta is described as a 23-year-old white male. He is 6’1″ and weighs approximately 155 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of a cross and armor on his left shoulder.

Jones-Botta was last seen wearing black denim jean shorts and black shoes.

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to his recovery.
