Winter Haven, FL — Winter Haven Police are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the murder of a woman in 2010.

Detectives say the man who possibly goes by the nickname, “Sport”, shot and killed 39-year-old Cherie T. Kirkendall through her apartment wall around 11:40 p.m. on May 18, 2010.

Detectives say it appears Kirkendall was the intended target and witnesses told police they saw someone outside the apartment at 751 Ave. O moments before the shooting.

The man is described as a tall, skinny white male with freckles, short blond hair and 30-40 years old.

A $3,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest of this man.  Anyone with information can call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a CASH REWARD.
