Update 10-19-12: Searchers found the body of a young Oregon woman who vanished this week on her way to work and a neighbor has been arrested, Gresham police said late Friday night. The body of Whitney Heichel, 21, was found on Larch Mountain, a remote, forested area east of Gresham, Police Chief Craig Junginger told a news conference.

After collecting DNA and fingerprints and conducting three interviews over three days, police arrested Jonathan Holt, 24, of Gresham, for investigation of aggravated murder, the chief said. Holt lived in the same apartment complex as Heichel and her husband

10-9-12 Update: BEND, Ore. – An escaped inmate from the Klamath County Detention Center is back in jail. Around 6:30 Monday evening, police officers pulled over a vehicle in Bend for a traffic violation.

When questioned, Kenneth Robert Banes tried to trick officers, giving them false information; knowing deputies in Klamath County were looking for Banes, they doubted his story.

Banes apparently tried to run and resisted arrest. He is now in the Dechutes County Jail.

The FBI today announced recently that it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Rick Devan Hendrix, 56, and Sarah Candace Deswert-Hendrix, his 30-year-old wife. Bosworth, a two-time cancer survivor, has not been seen since Sept. 16, 2011.
