Karim Khamarko, 64, of Southfield, was gunned down while working alone Friday night Nov 26, 2010, at his store on Hilton Road in Ferndale, MI.
“A person came in and shot two times. Cash was taken, but certainly not enough to justify something like this,” Ferndale Police Detective Lt. William Wilson said.
Wilson said the incident occurred between 8:35 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. Friday. Police believe the assailant fled the scene on foot. Karim died later at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Read the rest of this entry »

Ludington, Michigan- On July 9, 2011, an Amber Alert for missing four-month-old “Baby Kate” Katherine Shelbie Elizabeth Phillips remains in effect as searchers continue to scour wooded areas looking for the missing child. Baby Kate has been missing since June 29, 2011 and is believed to be in extreme danger. She was last seen with Sean Michael Phillips who has since been apprehended and taken into custody. Though many fear the sweet four month old child is dead, Sean Michael Phillips, 21, has told his daughter’s mother, Ariel Courtland, 19, that she is alive. Read the rest of this entry »

GRAND RAPIDS – It has been over three years since Janna Kelly disappeared from her home in Grand Rapids. The business woman was last seen December 4, 2007. Her body was found several months later in Grand Haven Township.

Grand Rapids Police and Ottawa County Sheriff’s Investigators interviewed more than a hundred people in the past three years, with several detectives working on the case. Police say to this day, there are no solid suspects in her disappearance and murder. Read the rest of this entry »

In June of 1983, 16-year-old Erik Cross was walking home from a party when he was brutally murdered and run over by a car. He was later found in front of his home when his father came out to get the mail the next morning on the 5100 block of East Y Avenue in Brady Township, just outside of the town of Vicksburg, Michigan.
