On the afternoon of September 24, 1998, 26-year-old Agnieszka Ziemlewski was shot to death at the Metropolitan District Commission Reservoir property within sight of Old Mountain Road in Farmington. It was a crime that rattled nerves in Farmington and it’s neighboring towns. The West Hartford resident had been found gravely wounded on a secluded walking path. $100,000 Cop Killer Reward

Memorial Day 1981, it was just before 3:30 pm when 34-year-old Darien Patrol Officer Kenneth Bateman Jr. responded to burglar alarm at “Duchess”, a fast food restaurant on Post Road near I-95. When his back up officer arrived at the Duchess, near the border with Norwalk, Bateman was found bleeding from a gunshot wound to the neck. He died shortly afterwards. Read the rest of this entry »

Update – September 5, 2012 – Matthew Pugh, 40, of Hamden, Conn., was charged Wednesday in the murder of Alexandra Ducsay, who was found with significant head trauma in her Milford, Conn., home on May 19, 2006, according to the Milford Police Department.

At 4:44 p.m on May 16, 2006, twenty-six year old Alexandra “Zandra” Ducsay was found in a stairwell in her home on Boothbay Street in the town of Milford, Conn.. She had been bludgeoned and died as a result of cranial and cerebral hemorrhaging. She had last been seen by friends that day at Bally’s Total Fitness in Stratford at 11am that day. Jessica Rose Keyworth was a sweet 16 year old girl with a sparkle in her almond shaped eyes and a smile that could steal your heart away. Jessica brought joy to everyone she encountered.
In Jessica’s early years, like most youngsters growing up, she had ever changing dreams of being a skater like Nancy Kerrigan, a world class pastry chef or a entrepreneur yet to be defined. A reward of up to $50,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the criminal or criminals responsible for the murder of Terrance Driffin. Funding for the reward comes from the state of Connecticut, and is rewarded to individuals who provide sufficient information to successfully arrest and convict a person responsible for a crime.

A $25,000 reward has been posted in a Connecticut cold case murder dating back five years. State police announced the reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of 40-year-old Anthony Hamlin of Groton.

Victor Manuel Gerena (born June 24, 1958) is an American wanted by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for the armed robbery, in connection with the Los Macheteros group, of a Wells Fargo armored car facility. On May 14, 1984, he became the 386th fugitive to be placed on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. He remains at large and, on April 11, 2010, became the fugitive to have spent the most time on the list, surpassing Donald Eugene Webb. At about 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 4, 1998, a still-unidentified assailant stabbed Yale University Senior Suzanne Jovin 17 times in the head, neck and back. Less than 15 minutes later, police found her near death at the intersection of East Rock and Edgehill roads, a mile from central campus. The senior was a well liked and respected member of her class. The parents of William “Billy” Smolinski Jr. are pushing for either state or federal prosecutors to launch a grand jury probe into their son’s disappearance nearly six years ago.

Mary Badaracco was employed as a house cleaner in Sherman, Connecticut. She had a stormy relationship with her husband, Dominic Badaracco Sr, and left him for short periods of time in the past.
He reportedly physically abused her, leaving bruises. Shortly before she disappeared, Mary found out Dominic was having an affair. She decided to file for divorce.
