Coleman, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for the state of Arkansas, announced on July 9, 2012 that the FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible for the following incident:

As the Carroll County community is aware, on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, an improvised explosive device (IED) was found near the Osage Baptist Church in Osage, Arkansas. The device was found by church employees who were cleaning the church following run-off elections, held there the previous day. The church was used as a polling place by local residents during the election. The Bentonville Police Bomb Squad responded to the location at the request of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and rendered the IED safe. Despite never finding her body, the investigation is still open. There is a $10,000 for information leading to her recovery or an arrest.

Cheryl Eason

The Hot Springs Arkansas Police Dept. is asking for information in the murder of Cheryl Lynn Eason.

Ms. Eason was killed outside her apartment at 119 Oak St. On November 26, 2002 at about 6:00 PM. She was unloading groceries when she was shot in the head by a black male. A witness heard a single gunshot and looked back to see Ms. Eason lying on the ground and the black male running away toward the west. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, five feet to five feet six inches tall, weighing between 120 and 130 lbs. He was wearing a dark jacket and toboggan. (Arkansas — March 14, 2012) Another anonymous donor has come forward and, as a result, Damien Echols’s defense team has doubled the amount of the reward to $200,000 to find the real killers of the three young boys in the West Memphis 3 case. The donors have chosen to remain anonymous and have placed a time limit on the reward offer. If no direct evidence emerges, the funds will be allocated toward further DNA and investigative efforts.

New Billboards will be posted to promote the $200,000 reward and encourage those with credible information to contact the confidential tip line as soon as possible. Attorneys for Damien Echols will review all calls and verify the information provided.
