Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife have been found shot in their Forney home on Saturday, March 30, 2013.

TEN MOST WANTED

3-27-13 Update: DENVER  — One of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives has voluntarily returned from El Salvador to Colorado to face a first-degree murder charge in a 2011 slaying, the FBI said Wednesday.

Edwin Ernesto Rivera Gracias landed in Centennial, Colo., with FBI agents Wednesday afternoon, less than two weeks after being added to the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

The surrender of Rivera Gracias, a citizen of El Salvador, came after the FBI announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. The FBI isn’t releasing further details related to the reward.

Donations to the Crime Stoppers reward fund can also be made payable to the Mark Hasse Fund at any area American National Bank of Texas location.

 

We have learned that Mark Hasse, the Texas prosecutor gunned down outside the Kaufman County courthouse Thursday, January 31, 2013 was concerned about his safety in recent weeks.

Hasse told a longtime friend on Jan. 23 that he was being threatened.  The friend said Hasse was carrying a gun everywhere he went and changed his exit route from work each day. Read the rest of this entry »
