MINNEAPOLIS — It has been over six months since the shooting that killed a 3-year-old boy in north Minneapolis, but police say they are no closer to finding the person who fired the fatal shot.

Terrell Mayes Jr. died after a bullet broke through a wall in his home and hit him the head last December. At the time he was shot, Mayes and his brother were running upstairs to hide. Investigators say they believe the bullet came from a nearby alley. The bullet penetrated the wall of the home before striking Terrell. He died the next day. Read the rest of this entry »

The wife of a man murdered at a car wash says the reward for information has doubled. She’s hoping the money will convince someone to come forward with information regarding the unsolved murder.

Almost 25 years after her disappearance, Bonneville Power Adminstration (BPA) and local law enforcement officials continue to search for clues in an effort to discover what happened to Julie Weflen.

On September 16, 1987, Julie Weflen vanished from her work at the Bonneville Power Administration in Spokane, Washington. Her personal items were found next to her truck shortly afterwards. Update: LIHU‘E — A reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in the 2010 murder of a Kapa‘a woman has been doubled to $20,000.

The increase is due to a donation made to the Amber Jackson Justice Group. The individual donor wishes to remain anonymous.

LIHU‘E — Saturday, June 23, 2012 marked the second-anniversary of the murder of Kapa‘a resident Amber Ellis Jackson, 57. The case has yet to produce an arrest or conviction of a suspect.

Jackson, 57, of Kapa‘a, was last seen alive on the night of June 23, 2010. Her body was found by a hunter in a remote, wooded area in Kealia on July 3, 2010.

Friends and family held vigil on Kaua‘i and in California. It is their hope that a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer, will draw attention to the crime and stir memories in people who might come forward to assist the investigation. WESTON, WV — The FBI has $20,000 in reward money for information in the disappearance of 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford.

Her disappearance is considered a crime, according to Federal investigators.

FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen said that investigators no longer believe Aliayah Lunsford just walked away from her Weston home on Sept. 24, 2011
