Minnesota State investigators are still offering a $10,000 reward for information about the murder of a Chaska man whose body was found in a badly burned vehicle Dec. 6, 2008 near Green Isle.
Daniel Juarez owned DJ Satellite Service, a television satellite installation business, and was in a Chevy Trailblazer marked with Dish Network or Direct TV decals when his burned body was found. Read the rest of this entry »

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It’s a mystery that’s haunted a Bardstown woman for more than a decade.
Her 23-year-old daughter vanished without a trace. Now a $10,000 reward is being offered in the cold case.
Melissa Sloan disappeared in 1994, just a few years after her father was kidnapped and murdered. Sloan was 23 years old.

Between 1986 and 1989, at least eight individuals and possibly an additional four more were killed in the Colonial Parkway area of Virginia. The serial killer has never been found and the Colonial Parkway murders remain unsolved.
On October 12, 1986, the bodies of Cathleen Thomas (27) and Rebecca Ann Dowski (21) were found by a jogger in the back seat of their vehicle. The vehicle was pushed down an embankment off the Colonial Parkway in area frequented by gay couples. 8-10-12 Update: Calling the deaths of Lisa Straub and Johnny Clarke “barbaric to the extreme,” Lucas County Common Pleas Court Judge Dean Mandros sentenced a Toledo man Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The reward has doubled in the case of a young couple murdered on January 31, 2011. Twenty-one-year-old Johnny Clarke and 20 year-old Lisa Straub were found dead in her parents’ home in Springfield Township, OH, with wrists bound and plastic bags over their heads.
As the reward money grows to $15,000, Straub’s family is revealing what they believe happened that tragic morning.
Johny Clarke was talking to a friend on the phone at 11 p.m. on the night of the murder. He was supposed to go pick her up, according to the Toledo Blade. Read the rest of this entry »

PHOENIX — The base of Lookout Mountain in Phoenix is home to some of the most pristine homes in Moon Valley. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 it was the scene of a homicide.”Oh my god, I was in shock. I was in shock,” said Hope Mcneely, who has worked for the past 10 years as a housekeeper at the home where the killing took place.
The body of Phyllis Mizioch, 57, was found at 9:30 p.m. in her kitchen, Phoenix police said.

Victoria “Vicki” Jane Eagleman was last seen alive on the weekend of July 28, 2006, in Lower Brule, South Dakota, wearing a tan shirt with spaghetti straps, jean pants, a light blue scarf she wore as a belt, and sandals. Her body was found on August 23, 2006.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the disappearance and death of Victoria Eagleman.

The serial bank robber dubbed the “Geezer Bandit” has looted his 13th bank, knocking off a Bank of America branch in Santa Barbara County, according to the FBI.
The FBI said in a news release that a man believed to be the elderly bank robber has struck for the first time in Santa Barbara after 11 robberies in the San Diego area starting in 2009, and one in Bakersfield in November.
“The robbery was conducted similar to the previous 12 robberies that we believe he is responsible for,” FBI spokesman and special agent Darrell Foxworth said. Read the rest of this entry »

On March 29, 1995, Deanna Cremin followed her usual Wednesday routine of going out with friends and visiting her boyfriend. She was supposed to be home by 10 pm; when she was not home by midnight, her mother, worried, tried unsuccessfully several times to reach her on a pager that the girl carried. Her boyfriend, considered to be the last person to see Cremin alive, admits walking her home that night, but says he left her halfway, as he often had during their year long courtship. On the night of February 19, 2005, Danielle Imbo, 34, and Richard Petrone, 35, vanished. They were last seen at Abilene’s bar and restaurant on South Street in Philadelphia, and Richard’s best friend Rick Bellezzi told the Philadelphia Inquirer that the couple “left the club happy at about 11:45.” But that was the last time they were seen. Two adults traveling in a pickup truck — gone. No phone calls to friends or family members, no ransom notes, no wreckage, no remains.
